About Brian

I grew up on the east coast. During my high school years the family moved to
Tom River at the Jersey Shore. The summer were spent on the
boardwalk of Seaside Heights.
I graduated from The College of New Jersey and received an offer to join
Walt Disney
Imagineering where
I designed, built and installed electronic control systems that were for Epcot, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland in
California. It seemed at the time that I was building the world's biggest toys.
I next moved to Jet Propulsion Laboratory where I've helped to build the most
expensive toys. Well toys really isn't the best way to describe what we do at JPL. We design, build and manage many of the
world's most ground breaking unmanned planetary missions. Each mission is unique and the design of each spacecraft
reflects the unique mission requirements. So far spacecraft that I've worked on have gone to Venus ( Magellan), Jupiter ( Galileo), Saturn ( Cassini)
and Mars ( Mars Observer, MER). Space Interferometry Mission ( SIM) is my current project. SIM will open a window
to new discoveries by determine the positions and distances of stars several hundred times more accurately than any previous
program.
My mom, sister and two bothers live in the New Jersey and New York area. I'm really proud of all their accomplishments. If
you ever need a custom designed home, contact my architect brother Gregory. His architecture firm,
Aquatecture, has designed some of the most stunning homes on the Jersey Shore.
I've had the opportunity to bicycle coast to coast across the US. It took 9 weeks and was one of the most
wonderful experiences of my life. I've also bicycled the length of Great Britain and in '04 cycled in the Netherlands
and the northern part of Belgian
People wonder why I would want to put all the effort in cycling on a vacation instead of taking it easy. I think I
really enjoy the challenge waking up in the morning and saying to the other bicyclists, "gee what a wonderful day, let's go
for a ride". Getting to see the country up close at much slower pace and getting a chance to meet the locals is a big
bonus for me.
I click on my journal page and follow my travels.
